friday at the shop...a couple of days late

It was crazy last week with all the deliveries of new things! Furniture, jewelry and loads of fun accessories for the house. So, needless to say, last Friday we were busy unpacking and making new displays all day...no time to post. Here are some of the gorgeous things we got in.

The Egypt Chest, with it's amazing carved details, landed in the front window display because it is so killer. Tomorrow I'll show you how everything looks in the shop!

new titles

We have some new design books coming into the shop soon. One of our favorite things is to tear through all the books when they arrive. It's like hanging out in the magazine section of Barnes & Noble for hours!

Lanterns

It feels as though every where you look there are gorgeous photographs of rooms with lanterns. ( Much like the ones seen in the post)
However, locating a place to purchase them has been harder than we thought.
Most attractive in long hallways, and foyers above a table, these lanterns are some of the best ones we have found around. Please call for information regarding outfitting your house with one of these amazing fixtures.

lonny mag

I was cruising through some old Lonny magazines and I noticed all the great looking beds. I also noticed that we carry most of the linens in the shop!

This bed has a Matouk Lowell duvet cover and shams in white with navy trim mixed with the John Robshaw Indigo Dip bolsters.

On the bed on the left, Matouk Meridian duvet and shams in white with red tape trim, mixed with John Robshaw Blossom accent pillows.

On the bed on the right, there is a Matouk Lowell duvet and shams in white with red satin tape.

In this pretty room designed by Bunny Williams, she did the complete bed of linens in Matouk Gordian Knot.

Bunny Williams mixed an Oly raffia headboard with a John Robshaw hand-painted quilt and Samode Pink sheets in this sweet room.

In this navy and brown room, she used John Robshaw printed duvets and Cinde Coffee shams and sheets.

It's interesting to see the more traditional Matouk linens mixed with the patterned John Robshaw bedding. We have fun combining the two together on the beds in the shop.

49th Street...

How pretty are these colors? Perfect for a young family that wants a light and airy feeling in a beautiful historic Savannah home. Here's what we're thinking...walls in soft chamois by ben moore, a pair of white slipcovered loveseats in front of the fireplace, a seagrass rug, accents of driftwood & seashells and tall silk curtains almost the same color as the wall. We'll keep you posted on how it all turns out!
