Two items of importance.

1. I swear this is the last time I'll mention that April issue of House Beautiful, but I have to share the final result of our efforts to recreate the seahorse pillows.

Not to shabby, right? This is the original one:

You can buy them on our website now, right here!

2. Speaking of the website, take a look at our new monogram page. This was quite the undertaking, but I'm so happy with the results. We've discontinued some monograms and added some new ones. The best part is that you can click on each monogram style and see what every letter looks like in that style.

See? How clever.

So, as wonderful as this new monogram page is, it's still a huge process to update the entire website with all of our monogram styles. Bear with us, please. If you want to order something from the website but the new monogram style isn't listed as an available option, please call us (912.443.0065) and we'd be happy to take your order.

That all being said, I'm exhausted. This has been quite the project over the past few months. Off for a much needed long weekend and back with more monogram goodness next week.

Happy Easter!

From the pages of House Beautiful to your home...

We love love love that House Beautiful featured a house that one of our customers, Lynn Morgan designed. We especially love the calls that came in about the products seen. We've gotten many about those beautiful seahorse pillows, pictured here:

Unfortunately, those pillows were accidentally credited to us, when it was only supposed to be for the green throw. However, we like to think we're pretty clever people around here so we came up with our own version of the seahorse pillow. We don't know who made them, but we'd be happy to make them for you.

I spent a few minutes on Photoshop and came up with our own design.

Not too shabby, right? I would suggest the Libeco Linen Pillow in Natural, but we can embroider these guys on pretty much any pillow we carry. I wish we could get them to be the same size as the ones pictured, but with the way our hoops work, they have to be centered on the pillow with some breathing room around them. I still think the pillow looks great, but I may be biased. Email me if you'd like to order one! It will be $75 to apply this to any pillow - take a look at all our pillows and pick your favorite. We can sew this out in any color, take a sneak peek at our new thread chart and pick you color(s) from here.

Any takers?

House Beautiful

We were so excited to receive our April issue of House Beautiful in the mail yesterday! We recognized the cover immediately! It is the Savannah home of our friend, interior designer Lynn Morgan. Her gorgeous historic row house (which looks even more beautiful in person) is right around the corner from our shop. We always love seeing Lynn when she's visiting from New York. She bought some of the furniture, bedding and bath towels that are featured throughout the article from our shop. Thanks so much for including us!

Decorating with blue & white...

Some of my happiest days are when I open my mailbox and find my favorite magazines sitting there just waiting to be poured over during my next free moment. The December/January issue of House Beautiful was the first one to catch my eye this morning. Take a look at the cover below...

A pretty neutral cover but I love the pops of blue, especially the blue and white porcelain. I saw that stool and thought it was the exact one we have in the store! Once I got to work I checked it out and realized we have a really similar one, but the scene is different and the colors are too. Good job, Kathryn, you're way off. I blame my blonde hair. Regardless, it's kinda close, right?

So that got me thinking about all of the blue and white porcelain kicking around this place, especially after I flipped through the spread on the cover house. It's pretty amazing. The abundance of blue and white porcelain acts as the common thread that ties the entire house together. The homeowners collection makes me think they could be borderline blue and white porcelain hoarders, in my opinion, but it definitely works for them. You should really pick up a copy of this issue, you won't regret it. Then, after you've flipped through the spread, you'll want some blue and white goodness for your own abode. That's where we come in.

We have a pair of these large ginger jar lamps that have a very similar landscape to the one painted on the stool on the cover, $480 each but so worth it. Email us to snag the two we have in the store.

(Please excuse the fact that it's sitting on the floor. They were sitting on these Derby side tables but they've been taken away on approval. Sidenote: blue and white lamps look really great on washed grey furniture).

I kept snapping photos of our products with my beloved iPhone, so check out all of the blue and white we can offer...

We have two of these blue and white porcelian jars.

We have one of these ginger jars.

These are the most adorable little blue and white lamps.

We have two of these taller blue and white ginger jar lamps, which look really great as a pair.

Now if your purse strings are tight but you still want some blue and white, may I recommend these?

Let's all let out a collective "awww!". Who can resist these cocktail napkins and guest towels? Made by Iomoi for Matouk, these have been a total hit in the store.

There you go. No more excuses for a lack of blue and white in your home. The best part about blue & white porcelain? It never goes out of style so you know you're making a worthwhile investment!
