The Artful Table

For the past three years Number Four Eleven has participated in the Telfair Art Museum's "Artful Table." Each year we have created a themed table that goes on display to the public during the month of March.

The first year we built a massive cabana adorned with all the finishings. It was lined with curtains and even had a chandelier. It was a major pain to put together but in the end it turned out beautifully.

The second year, the event was hosted by famed interior designer Bunny Williams. (We also carry her new furniture line, Bee Line Home, at Number Four Eleven) This time, we created a table not as conventional as the last. With a lot of help from friends we were able to build a table with an enormous bird cage on top (thanks Scot Hinson!). Surrounding the table, our good friend and food stylist extraordinaire, Libbie Summers, made delectable cupcakes and arrangements made of bird seeds and succulents. Really spectacular.

This past year, our tables were meant to resemble paintings we chose by Dutch Artists. We chose an artist by the name of Sir. Anthony James. Our table paid homage to the painting's subtle colors and dune like appearance. We designed some amazing monograms with coral on them to match the seaweed prints. We monogrammed the table linens and floor pillows. It turned out to be a huge success.
