Before & After

Today I'm sharing a before & after of my master bathroom!  During my MAJOR nesting phase before Ike was born, I had a list of to-do's that I was trying to finally mark off our house list. A major item was our master bathroom.  Warning- these before pictures are so gross!

Our house is circa 1940, so the bathrooms and closets are super small.  We expanded the bathroom by taking out the tiny adjoining closet. To stay in budget, we used tile and hardware from Home Depot.  For the shower, we used a white subway tile floor to ceiling. On the floors, we used my favorite marble hexagon tile.  The brushed nickel hardware is from the Martha Stewart Home Depot collection.

We have a very narrow bathroom, so the sink and medicine cabinet from Ikea were the perfect fit.  My mom found this cute chrome and white leather stool at Tuesday Morning.  The mirror was a vintage find at $30 that we painted dark grey.  I found the light fixture for $40 at the Circa Lighting warehouse sale! The beach print is from the art website 20x200.  It may be kind of random where I hung it, but it's the first thing I see when I walk into the bathroom. It just makes me happy!

The beautiful towels are my new obsession - the Scalloped Cairo Towels with a silver trim from Matouk, a grey and cream striped fouta towel, and a monogrammed linen hand towel.

All the construction was done by my friends over at Carroll Construction.  They were awesome!

Let me know what you think!!!

The before shots...

why was this towel bar off-center? random

gross!

Having personally seen the bath "before", I can honestly say it looked a lot worse than the pictures show! What an amazing transformation. Job well done.

Love the bathroom!! Do you like the quality of the stool? I saw it at Tuesday Morning this weekend but was unsure so didn't purchase. Love the blog!

What a beautiful transformation!

I love the modern element of the Ikea sink with the classic tile.

Great blog and I adore your monogram! If I'm ever in Savannah, I'll come by the shop.
