Linnea's Lights in Men's Health magazine...

Yes. Men's Health. You read that correctly. It has been brought to my attention that one of our favorite candles has made another list of Best Valentine's Day Gifts.

 

They've got some smart editors working at that magazine. I would be thrilled with one of these as a gift on February 14th (hint, hint!). Linneas Lights are great for so many reasons - 2 wicks, soy based, recycled packaging, cute matchbox included, and the most wonderful scents. We've got a bunch of these that we burn on rotation and they make the shop smell aaaamazing. If only I had a dollar every time someone walked in and said, "it smells so good in here!". Seriously, I'm not exaggerating like I usually do.

 

Cashmere is definitely our best seller, can't keep them on the shelves! Actually, some of our best customers are salon owners, so you know a candle is good when they keep coming back for more, and then their clients come to buy it after they smelled it while getting their hair done.

I never thought I'd ever read about candles in Men's Health but it was a very nice surprise. Most of all, I hope the men that read about these candles place their orders here. Don't forget to enter in the code 'LOVE' for 15% off at checkout.

Yes, you read that right, men. You have 6 full days left to buy that special lady in your life a Valentine's Day gift! May I suggest a few items? 

Okay the first two are obvious because they are classic No. Four Eleven items. Get something personal!

What girl doesn't love things that are gold, especially when it's jewelry?! Stop by the shop because all of our jewelry on the floor is 50% off. We have to make room for all the beautiful pieces Claire ordered at market in January - take a look at all the new inventory here. That gorgie piece the bangles are sitting in is the Golden Clam Bowl, which would be an excellent addition to any coffee table or bookshelf for a little glitz. Also - don't forget, nothing says 'I love you' like some one-of-a-kind art, especially when it's done by the famous, Katherine Sandoz. That's a gift she'll keep for life, I promise.

 

I'll admit I'm slightly terrified of color sometimes (designers out there will agree with me!) but I do love me some brightly colored leather clutches. The fuschia clutch is probably my favorite. Again, also the most color appropriate one for this holiday. You guys can't go wrong with these totally affordable (read: under $20!) clutches.

 

It doesn't get any cuter than this Two Elephants pillow by John Robshaw. What makes the pillow all kinds of wonderful is that it's actually hand painted on the linen/cotton blend. You have to see it in person to fully appreciate it.

Because even your dog needs to have something monogrammed...

This is how things have been working around here over the past few weeks - after one of our products is monogrammed, we try to remember to always photograph it to share the finished product with the everyone, so whoever has their iPhone/Blackberry handy snaps a photo quickly then wraps the item and then it's on to the next. Repeat until you have 25 outgoing boxes full of holiday orders. We're so busy around here that sadly, sometimes these photos live on our phones for weeks until we properly post or file them. I'm working on a better system, I swear. That being said, I can't express how great it is when you see one of our items beautifully styled and photographed. So when I saw this blog post, I was one happy girl.

Now back to work! Lots of things to do before I take off for a few days for the holidays, but I'll be back posting next week. The store is open every day through to New Years (except Christmas day) so stop by to pick up one of those last minute gifts or a hostess gift for that New Years Eve party you've been invited to. Or, do as Libbie did and indulge your pet with his or her very own monogrammed throw!

Busy busy busy!

We've been so incredibly busy around here, hence why we've been so unusually quiet on our blog/Facebook/Twitter. Sorry about that. I have 468 unread blogs in my Google reader and I can't remember the last time I sat down at work until now. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving how busy we are during the holidays, but I figured it's only fair to properly explain our absence through photos of what's been keeping us from standing still for more than 10 seconds over the past few weeks...
