Quick gift idea!

Graduation is right around the corner and you're probably scrambling for a last minute gift, right? Let me help.

These waffle cosmetic bags make a great gift. They're perfect for those grads heading off to college in the fall. You can't complain about the price, either. $15 for the large ones, $12 for the small bags. You know the drill, add $15 for a monogram. A total steal, if you ask me.

This is the small bag with an E monogram in Bluebelle.

I'm loving the orange on orange on this one.

Feel free to stop by or call if you need any grad gift ideas, we've got plenty here. Don't forget Mothers Day! It's only two weeks away.

Loving this latest press...

I wanted to say a big thank you to Savannah Magazine for the great feature in their latest issue of their Homes Edition of Savannah Magazine. To get even one single product in a magazine is a huge deal to us, so to see three items on one page thrilled us!

We've got a few of those tini tables scattered around this place (also available in orange) - they are perfect for cocktail parties and a great to fill up a corner in a room that you just don't know what to do with it.

These gold sea urchins have been selling out quickly. I love seeing them displayed in different ways other than their traditional application on the wall, such as styled on a stack of books or on sitting a desk to hold mail in. Get them here.

These are the napkins that were featured, just with a different monogram - so pretty, right? Go get them here. Remember, Mothers Day is coming up and these would make a wonderful gift! More on ideas for Mothers Day next week, stay tuned.

Thanks again to Savannah Mag! You made our day.

Something new.

Getting married anytime soon?

Take a look at this beautiful ring bearer pillow we just created. I had a bride contact us to see if we could monogram one she saw online with her custom monogram I designed. After going back and forth, I realized that we could just make one here! I took a SFERRA festival napkin that we had kicking around this place and embroidered it with their custom monogram. In comes Lynne, our lovely seamstress, who took on the project and created this adorable pillow.

We're working on pricing details and whatnot for these guys but if you're interested, send me an email and I'll come up with a quote. Let me know if you need me to find a miscellaneous napkin or if you will supply your own fabric.

To paint or not to paint?

I love flipping through the latest shelter magazine and seeing something we have in the shop in a spread. Must mean we're doing something right around here. I saw this in the May 2012 issue of Elle Decor:

Took a few seconds until I realized that I sit eight feet away from that chair everyday.

It's got great shape and it's surprisingly really comfortable. Part of me wants to spray paint it a shiny bright color. Let's be honest, I see any piece of furniture and my immediate thought is to paint it. Think that would ruin it? What would you do - leave it au natural or spray it to change things up? I immediately thought of these examples of fun painted chairs...

Thoughts? Don't worry, I'm not actually going to paint this chair. Claire would probably murder me!

How much is that doggie in the window?

Meet the latest addition to Number Four Eleven - Stewie. I adopted Stewie, a chihuahua/jack russell mix (I think!), about 5 years ago. He's been living up north with my parents but decided he needed a vacation in the South. He's in Savannah for a few months, earning his keep by modeling furniture and by greeting people as they come in. He gets paid in dog treats from the mailman and with daily walks in Forsyth Park. Take a look at what he's been up to over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, he's not for sale, but you can take him out on approval anytime.

Hanging out in the window, checking out the people walking on Whitaker Street, trying to lure them into the shop with his good looks and charm.

He likes to spend his spare time catching up on his reading. That day he was getting some inspiration from Patina Style, a book by one of our favorite bloggers, Brooke Gianetti of Velvent & Linen

When reading gets old he likes to turn his focus to fine art. He decide to spend some time with a few beautiful pieces by Katherine Sandoz.

All the reading and art appreciation has elevated his tastes so that he now prefers the finer things in life, like relaxing on vintage leather chairs on a Madeline Weinrib rug.

Sometimes it becomes too much to handle and he just passes out in the front window.

Other times, he likes to model some of our custom monogram work.

I found him here yesterday. Clearly he thinks he takes a back seat to our seahorse pillow. That, or he's trying to hide after a group of ten children just swarmed him.

He is a great babysitter, though. Stop by anytime with a kid (or ten) and he'll keep them entertained while you shop. Come visit soon though, Stewie's vacation in the South is ending soon before the Savannah summer heat kicks in and then he'll be off to his vacation home in the mountains for the summer.

Thank you!

I'd like to interrupt this holiday weekend to thank Judy for the sweet, sweet post she wrote on her blog Gracious Southern Living. Judy has been such a great supporter of this little shop and we really appreciate her kind words.

Read it here!

Two items of importance.

1. I swear this is the last time I'll mention that April issue of House Beautiful, but I have to share the final result of our efforts to recreate the seahorse pillows.

Not to shabby, right? This is the original one:

You can buy them on our website now, right here!

2. Speaking of the website, take a look at our new monogram page. This was quite the undertaking, but I'm so happy with the results. We've discontinued some monograms and added some new ones. The best part is that you can click on each monogram style and see what every letter looks like in that style.

See? How clever.

So, as wonderful as this new monogram page is, it's still a huge process to update the entire website with all of our monogram styles. Bear with us, please. If you want to order something from the website but the new monogram style isn't listed as an available option, please call us (912.443.0065) and we'd be happy to take your order.

That all being said, I'm exhausted. This has been quite the project over the past few months. Off for a much needed long weekend and back with more monogram goodness next week.

Happy Easter!
