More, more, more from Atlanta! I found a beautiful weathered bench and dresser with a cream marble top from Gabby Home. Stunning. The cool mirrors were at Bliss Studio. The chippy knot mirror is hands down one of my favorite finds! It would look good over a console in an entryway or over a bar or sideboard in a dining room. The Art of Carol Benson-Cobb

This is another great find from my trip to Atlanta last weekend...The Art of Carol Benson-Cobb. Here's how she describes her art - "Painting since childhood, Carol’s work has developed into 'abstract colorization'. It is based on the feeling created within a color palette with an emphasis on the way colors touch, layer and affect one another. Her vision is to create a mood within the art, adding a hint of a landscape element or focal point, usually evoking a feeling of fluidity and emotion. Her intentions are to never fully define a scene but to lead her viewers in the use their imagination and own life experiences to fill in the gaps…"

We have several of her canvas pieces arriving in a couple of weeks to the shop. They are so gorgeous and I think one (or two) may end up at my house. Check out how beautiful they are layered with antique mirrors. Wouldn't that look so good above a fireplace? And they are priced really well, with most pieces under $500!

I'm back from Atlanta!

I went to Atlanta this past weekend for the Gift Show and found lots of great stuff for the shop! Here is some fun jewelry that's coming in for Spring...all pieces are in gold, turquoise and coral. Everything is affordable and perfect for layering!

Hurricane Claire.

Last week I walked into work a little late after an appointment and it looked like a hurricane had just torn through the place. To my surprise, Claire clearly had a burst of energy that morning and took it upon herself to rearrange the place. A couple of tourists walked by while we were mid-madness and asked if we were setting up shop for the first time. A few hours and a serious muscle workout later, we ended up with this:

 SFERRA napkins, upholstered chairs, candles, adorable clutches from ShopBlithe and the stunning oyster shell mirror.

 A little jewelry and a little Katherine Sandoz.

We moved what I have now declared to be the heaviest display unit EVER. Seriously, it took Claire and I a good 10 minutes to move it 30 feet. It will now permanently live at the top of the stairs if I have any say in the matter. It still houses all of our table linens, but we added some accessories, a pretty lamp, and a beautiful piece by the very talented T.S. Kist.

Stop by and see the place for yourself! I'm sure if you pay Claire she'll come and do the same thing to your house. It's worth it, it feels like a whole new shop in here.

Random things in the shop...

We've been having this huge upholstery sale in the store and I figured it was time to share it with people outside the Savannah area. Then that got me thinking...what else do we have here that isn't on our website yet!?

These guys make quite a statement on their own but I think it's even better when they're paired up. Sidenote, don't they also look great with those Katherine Sandoz paintings?

 

 

This is what they look like when you don't have two different kinds of energy efficient light bulbs in them! They're for sale, we'd be sad to see them go, but they're yours for $485/each.

Now for some upholstery, this is the Rachel loveseat by Best Slipcover Company that is part of our sale. With the discount, it's only $1650. Take a closer look at you can see the killer nail head trim along the bottom and once you have a sofa with a one cushion bottom, you'll be converted forever. Such a worthy investment, I promise.

I made my way downstairs with my iPhone in hand to snap photos and spotted these chairs that almost sold the other day, almost!

 

There are 4 of these distressed leather and mahagony chairs that were picked up at an antique market that are too nice to keep for ourselves. Again, more nail head trim to make you swoon a little. $300 each or we'll cut you a deal for $1100/set.

 

Behind that handsome chair is another sofa (85"w), this time fully slip covered in linen. Look at the overstuffed single cushion - you know you'll never get a weird soft spot with that much stuffing in there. $2174 with the discount. Can I also tell you that there's no tax on items that are shipped out of state? Granted you spend a lot on shipping, it helps. A lot.

We also have a few other sofas in a white slipcover...let me know if you're interested and I'll send photos! We need to make some room for new inventory, we're going to market in Atlanta this weekend and we have big plans.
